After updating your WordPress site to version 5.5 or higher, you may experience issues with some plugins and themes that use an older version of the jQuery library. This is because WordPress 5.5 removes an old compatibility library called jquery-migrate.
To temporarily resolve any issues that you may be having, you can install and activate the Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin. Doing so will re-enable the jquery-migrate functionality that was removed.
This plugin serves as a temporary solution, enabling the migration script for your site to give your plugin and theme authors some more time to update and test their code. For a more permanent solution, we recommend updating any plugins or themes that have compatibility issues, or migrating to another plugin/theme if you are using one that is no longer being actively maintained.
